Welcome to QuaggaWiki

what is Quagga?

Quagga is a routing software suite, fork of GNU Zebra, providing implementations of Open Shortest Path First - OSPF (v2 & v3), Routing Information Protocol - RIP (v1, v2 & RIPng), Border Gateway Protocol - BGP (v4) and Intermediate system-to-intermediate system - IS-IS for Unix platforms.

what Quagga is not

Quagga is not a 'router' like e.g. Cisco or Juniper. Although syntax and general look is similar to Cisco, Quagga will not let you configure different router aspects, like filters or system daemons. Some of the Cisco configuration directives will not work either.

what you may possibly find here

This wiki is supposed to provide support for Frequently Asked or Repeated Questions, sharing configuration examples, providing useful Links, additional resources, some TipsNTricks and possible others not listed here.

what you will never find here

If you seek for nude girls, this is not the right place ;-). Quagga and routing tasks require advanced skills in UNIX administration. So we will not teach you how to configure and maintain OS.

the army wants YOU
